Todd Sherman

–

Mound, Minnesota

Todd Sherman passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026. He was born April 8, 1958, to Phyllis “Pat” Sherman and Robert “Bob” Hughes. He grew up in the Eden Prairie area and attended Eden Prairie High School, class of 1976, where he loved playing football among other sports. Known for his booming baritone voice, he even tried out for choir. He later moved to the Pine River area, living on the Whitefish Chain of Lakes, where he worked and learned various trade skills. He grew fond of the area and continued to visit for the remainder of his life.

After returning to the Twin Cities, Todd married Lisa and settled in Maple Grove in the mid-1980s, where they raised their three children: Nicholas, Lindsay, and Mitchell. Todd loved coaching his kids in hockey, eventually becoming head coach of the Junior Varsity Girls Hockey team at Maple Grove High School, where his daughter played. Though Todd and Lisa later divorced, they remained committed to raising their children together.

Todd eventually moved to the Minnetonka area, where he lived for over 20 years. In retirement, he continued doing what he loved: being grandpa to his five grandsons, going fishing or cruising the lake, grilling with family, watching football on Sundays, and ending his day with a good book, a martini and a sunset from the deck.

He is survived by his children, Nick (wife, Kathryn), Lindsay (husband, Mickey), and Mitchell; grandchildren Remy and Brooks (children of Nick), Mikko, Vanek, and Carmine (children of Lindsay); and his sister, Dawn.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Pat; father, Bob; his sister, Pam; and his brother, Chris.

Any memorials can be donated in his name to the American Cancer Society.

All funeral proceedings will be held privately.
