In Loving Memory of Susan Beauchamp

Susan Beauchamp, beloved wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2026 after a four year courageous journey with younger-onset Alzheimer’s Disease. Susan spent the last 8 months of her life under the wonderful and compassionate care of the staff at The Waters of Highland Park in St. Paul MN.

Her departure leaves a profound ache in the hearts of all who knew her, yet her gentle presence and joyful spirit remain deeply woven into the lives she touched.

Susan was born in Minneapolis, MN on January 9, 1966. She is survived by her devoted husband of 34 years, Steve, her son Ryan and daughter in-law Wendy, and daughter Samantha, who were the center of her world. Susan was the beloved daughter to Martha Phillips and the late Richard Phillips, and sister to Karen (Nat), Rick (Jon) and Jennifer and will be lovingly remembered by her whole extended family and a wide circle of friends who cherished her warmth, humor, and unwavering kindness.

Susan studied at UW Eau Claire before continuing her education at the University of Minnesota, with a concentration in Communications. It was at the University of Minnesota where she became a cherished member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and cultivated many lifelong friendships.

Steve’s job took Susan, Steve and the kids to a number of new towns and states over a 30 year period. Susan always enjoyed making new friends along the way especially through her participation in the Neighbors and Newcomers Clubs in each new town. She especially enjoyed all the wonderful friends she met through the Newtown CT Club while living in Monroe CT.

Susan will be remembered for her gentle ways, her heartfelt humor and wonderful smile, and her intense love of family—qualities that shaped every chapter of her life. She found joy in simple, meaningful moments: long walks around the neighborhood, Newcomer Club luncheons, lively conversations with her book clubs, and the endless stories and memories of raising her two children. Her love of dogs was legendary, and she delighted in the companionship and comfort they brought to her home. She also thoroughly enjoyed music and going to live shows with Steve and the kids, especially for many years attending Lollapalooza festivals in Chicago.

Susan’s legacy is one of love, laughter, and quiet strength. She leaves behind a community made better by her presence and a family forever shaped by her devotion.

We invite you to share your memories, stories, and photos on Susan Beauchamp’s memorial page. Your contributions will serve as a tribute to Susan's remarkable life and will provide comfort to all who loved her.
