Kathleen A. Foss

Kathleen Foss of Lamberton, Minnesota, age 66, passed away on August 31, 2026, as the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident.

A memorial service and luncheon celebrating Kathleen’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Our Lady of Peace Church. A graveside service at the Mayville Cemetery will follow in Mayville, North Dakota.

Kathleen was born in Mayville, North Dakota, on September 30, 1959, to the late Robert and Kazia Gummer. There she attended K-12 and worked at the local café and nursing home.

In September of 1984, Kathleen was united in marriage to Leon Foss of Revere, Minnesota. They moved to St. Cloud, Minnesota, where they owned a construction company then later became a concrete contractor and did snow removal. Kathleen became a very skilled carpenter and concrete finisher.

That marriage was blessed with three daughters: Emily, Amanda, and Elizabeth. The marriage later dissolved, and Kathleen met Michael Miller of Jeffers. They resided in Lamberton and shared 21 wonderful years together until Michael passed away in May of 2020.

Kathleen worked various jobs throughout the Lamberton area and fully retired in 2019. Kathleen enjoyed crocheting, knitting, quilting, gardening, and spending time with family.

Kathleen had an incredibly kind and giving heart. She was selfless and would give what she had to others without expecting anything in return. She loved finding little gifts and treasures and bringing them to the people she cared about simply because they made her think of them. Those small acts of kindness were just one of the many ways Kathleen showed her love.

She was a loving mother and grandmother, and she will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Kathleen is survived by her daughters, Emily Foss of Sartell, Minnesota; Amanda (Orlando) Lam of Sartell, Minnesota; and Elizabeth Foss of Benson, Minnesota; six grandchildren, Josh, Madi, Collin, Kailar, Evany, and Elsie; four brothers and sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Kazia Gummer; her brother Raymond; and her significant other, Michael Miller.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that memorial contributions be made toward Kathleen's final expenses. Condolences may be sent to Emily.
