With a heart as big as his love for the outdoors, Douglas Harold Peterson took his final bow on October 16, 2026. Born on September 5, 1943, in Minneapolis, MN. Douglas, or Doug as he was affectionately called, lived his life to the fullest with many different chapters and facets across the years.
Douglas was a man of many talents and passions. Whether he was hunting, fishing, honing his archery skills, working with wood, solving Sudoku puzzles, playing baseball, gardening, reading, or chatting up friends old and new, Douglas was never one to sit idle. His adventurous spirit led him from his birthplace in Minneapolis to Apple Valley, before finally retiring in Hugo, MN. An award-winning marksman and archer, Douglas was also an expert in the business of life, his wisdom and knowledge unmatched. In the midst of all his adventures, what mattered most to Douglas was time spent in the tranquility of nature and in the company of his beloved family.
